Prayers for a longtime Member   11/05/2017

The Church mass shooting that happened today, was Peggy Wardens Church. She was one of the people killed today and her grandson was shot in the arm and is in surgery. Lets keep her in our thoughts and prayers. I made a topic in the "Cabin" I will keep everyone updated as I get information.

  1. couple P32 pics

On the p32 try cleaning and lifting the battery contacts
  2. P41 shutter problem

If you have any resistors or diodes laying around you can cut a short piece off of one of the legs and lay it across the top of the fuse and try and just solder the ends. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  3. P41 shutter problem

You can check them for continuity with a meter. You usually don't replace them you just bridge over the top of the fuse with solder. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. P41 shutter problem

There are some fuses in there. Is the sticker still on the back of the board inside the camera, it will show you the fuse locations. Any chance you shifted the shutter assembly when you opened it up? The plug you pulled was a red and black wire with a white end on it correct? When you opened the lens door you spun it all the way that it's pressing on the little switch that tells the camera when the lens door is open all the way? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. P41 shutter problem

Are you talking about the lens cover door? If so just open the camera up and push the lens door manually all the way open and then pull the plug for the door. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  6. S600 externals working, but internals are not

The battery contacts inside the camera could be corroded. Scuff them up lightly with some sandpaper and pry them up a little carefully and see if that helps. You might also have a bad battery door. Check for continuity across the contact points on the door. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  7. Loss of a Hagshouse Member

That's horrible, Prayers sent for everyone involved.
  8. Best soldier iron

I have a Hakko FX-888D soldering station and love
  9. SSI withFuji J10 not working

Unless you modified the switch on the SSI the switch controls the PIR not the board power. If there's a battery connected to the board it's on and will refresh the camera at it's set interval You may want to pull the battery for a few minutes and allow the board to reset, maybe something got out of time.
  10. Kwikee Quiver Male bracket

Whitetail Supply used to sell them. That's where I always got them from. They weren't the Kwikee with the spring lock tab on the side they had a plastic lever that you rolled over to lock the two halves together.
  11. s600 flash replacement

Make sure the settings on the camera are correct, if you're using auto try the program settings. Make sure the lens isn't hitting the glass when it extends and that the LCD screen is off. If that doesn't work try turning the flash off using the flash button on the back of the camera and see if it will take a picture then. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  12. Kwikee Quiver Male bracket

I don't know if any of this will help but.....
  13. Problem with Little Acorn

Sorry, i misread your post yesterday, I was thinking that the camera was running away with false triggers. Try cleaning the battery contacts by hitting them with a little fine sandpaper, even scuff up the ends of the springs. It's possible that they got a little oxidized and aren't making good contact. Does this camera have a battery tray or just slots for the battery?
  14. Problem with Little Acorn

Put them in a closet face down on the floor and see if they still run away. If they do it's something with the camera specifically rather than something with the setup causing the false triggers. Do they have a settings default option?
  15. Bigfoot board not detecting

Did you lift the battery holder and brush underneath that to see if there was any corrosion? It might be the board switch, There's a post on here about adding an external switch to the board, might want to try that too.
  16. s600 flash replacement

You're going to have to separate the main board from the camera body to get at the flash. It could be the flash cap, the flash unit or a bad main board. Have you tried initializing the camera? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  17. Crittergetter Micro 7.0 PIR focal distance

If you're using a flat wide angle I think you want to be about 7/8" Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  18. Neoprene Sponge Rubber Rope (Cord)

Have you tried contacting OtterBox to see if they'll send you a replacement? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  19. S40 F2.8 help

Any chance you have the wires crossed at the board? Make sure the board is to cam type on/off 1 Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  20. S40 F2.8 help

For the other camera if you think it's the flash just turn it off by pressing the button with the lightning bolt on the back of the camera until you see the symbol for no flash. If it works with the flash turned off then that's your problem. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  21. S40 F2.8 help

You should be using your external power negative to your power and shutter wires. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  22. S40 F2.8 help

On the back of the camera try pressing the right button once and see if that helps. The button should have a square with a dot in it. If you connect the 2nd camera to the board will it turn on using the cameras power button?
  23. S40 F2.8 help

On the first camera have you tried letting the board go through walk test and then trigger it to take a picture? See what happens then. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  24. S40 F2.8 help

Try initializing the camera to get rid of that message Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  25. SS board diagnosis

Did you try swapping the switch or bypassing it?
