    Batteries

Our H/B cameras are based on buying an over the counter personal camera and hacking it to work with a separate controlling board.. These cameras have a different type processor that requires a high amperage at startup which is more conducive to the characteristics of rechargeable. You can use alkaline in our systems, but often times the stamina of alkaline are no where near what rechargeable are. Some commercials that use rechargeable batts will have a extra tray for them and when using alkaline they provide a dummy battery to put in it's place.

    Batteries

An eneloop charger is just that a charger. A smart charger does lots of things to the battery. I am not sure I can tell you all it does and what sequence , but it discharges your batteries then recharges and then discharges then takes internal resistance , etc. in what order I don't know and how many times, etc. is all programmed into the unit. This whole process depending on your condition of batteries can take a couple days vs a couple hrs. with an eneloop or any other charger.

    I'm alive!

Hey Paul glad to see your ok. I hear the kid thing, my 16 yr old niece told us late winter she wanted to get certified in scuba this summer. The hardest part of this whole ordeal was coming up with when she could go! It ended up being a lot of fun and it was great experience for her and her Aunt and Uncle. Hunting is coming and my nephew is 10 years old and he wants to hunt deer this year, he weighs 68 lbs and I will have to have him use a crossbow. I took him Turkey hunting in the spring and it was a good thing I had a large tent, so he could do laps inside. Wisconsin’s mentoring program is really kind of nice for these kids to get out in the woods hunting.

    Metal Detector

I bought a cheap one $40.00 clearance after xmas about 4-5 years ago, mainly to find survey stakes and I thought I would bring it along on vacation and check the beaches. It worked great for finding the survey stakes and I took it on vacation one time and was to lazy to do any beach cleaning.

    Forum Upgrade

If we are down, it will hopefully be only a short time, thanks for being patient. It will also have a new skin look to it. I am trying to salvage somehow a piece or pieces of the old look, this may not be immediate.

    New Members

We are starting to accept new members using the Board settings. With the old version we had to modify this procedure, but so far this new version seems to weed out the spammers. Now that doesn't mean it can't be done, but so far in a months time it flagged and isolated thousands and approved 5. I do need your help and I believe everyone can do the following if a spammer gets in and starts spamming. 1) Click on the members Name 2) Click on "Flag as Spammer" It will immediately shutdown the spammer and hide any posts and notify me. Thanks for your help!

Ok I wanted to get some time under our belt to work out any problems. I have not had any issues so far. Someone mentioned Tapatalk, I see this used all the time on other forums and wonder if this is something that would be used. Also any other things we might want to add?

    DXG 125 Focus

If I remember correctly you will have to take the board loose and pull it from the case with the wires connected to the batteries, so you can run the camera and adjust, you should be able to turn the lens.

    DXG 125 Focus

Make sure you don't have something close, tip of tree branch, tip of grass, that the auto focus is picking up on. Could even be edge of lens hole.

    Forum Upgrade

Ok here it is! This should put us in the newest version with a stable format. It will take a while to get familiar with the new look. Please be patient, I am as new to this format as everyone else, so the answers maybe slow to your questions.

    Hag's House Ownership

Along with wishing everyone a prosperous and healthy New Years, I want to finally make the announcement and let everyone know that I (Badgerbuckhunter) have the Keys to Hag’s House website and am responsible for it. A little history on the ownership of this site. Dan (Hags) started this site about 10 years ago and had it until about 3 years ago in which time Chris (212) had the keys until August of this year. Hags created a website that has a very solid foundation and is still very solid today and is a much respected as a Trail Camera Forum. So what is going to change? It is my intention to leave the site pretty much as it has been. I am looking at updating the site and make it more mobile friendly, I don’t own a mobile devise myself, but others do and have expressed a need for it, and I will be asking for some help with this matter. What I don’t want to change is the brother/sister hood that this site has. I very much appreciate the paying forward type of help going on here it says volumes for the membership here. I also hope that more people get involved in other activities like we have seen recently with the Christmas Exchange, Charity Auction, Photo Contest, Cam fests, etc. These were a great success and I want to thank the guys who organized them and also the members that participated. Let’s all have a great 2013 ! John

    S600 Black Screen

It sounds to me this is a parts camera someone put together and sold as a non working camera. Whenever I bid on something non working I always look at the sellers feedback and see what they have bought or sold in the past.

    This Is A Test

Grasshopper leg, Sandstone pix, gopher, whitetail, ducks swimming, bobcat, flying squirrel, marsh scene, whitetail buck, cardinal, squirrel, That's my guess and not because the photo quality, but because of the pose/action within the photo! Thanks for your posting.
