      Thank you note   08/24/2017

I receive this thank you note from Peggy Warden  Mr. Stadler,  I didn’t post this under announcements, but you can if you want.  Thank you very much for sending the card, money and letting the members know about Chris’s death.  The members on Hagshouse are a special group of guys.  I knew that you all have really big hearts from past experiences when I was helping with charity auctions, etc. But I didn’t know what to say when I got a card with a $500.00 check because Chris had been inactive for a good while now.  Thank you all for the money and the kind words that were written about him on the website.  It was a great comfort for our family to read through each post.  It is just amazing that guys, most of whom I have never met in person, hundreds of miles away, reach out to help with prayers and money.  Chris and I were very thankful for being able to have come to know allot of you through e-mail and phone conversations, being part of your website and running the store.  Life without Chris is the hardest thing in life that I have ever had to do, but it sure does make it easier to bear with friends like you.  There has got to be a big meeting place reserved up in heaven where all the Hagshouse guys get together.  God bless you all!  Sincerely, Peggy Warden P.S.  Chris had signed me up with the Hagshouse member name of “Methuselah”.  As some of you may know, Methuselah was the oldest person in the Bible.  Lol!  He did have a sense of humor.

  1. White Flash Vs Ir

I had one wiley old buck that I'd get one pic of him looking at the cam and the a second pic as he was turning away and then no more at that site. Then I'd get another pic a mile or so away and him turning away and then no more there too. He was a smart old bugger that I hunted 3 yrs for but never got. A neighbour shot him in the rut last year out in the middle of a wide open field, nose down following a hot doe trail. Other than that one buck I have never had much trouble with whiteflash pics and deer. The young bucks seem to want to stand in front and get flashed way too much burning up batteries and card space!! I only have whiteflash cams, 16 homebrews....and 3 more to go out when they are ready....I may have a small problem...LOL!!
  2. A Little Piggy Porn!

I got some bear porn too.
  3. A Little Piggy Porn!

  4. Ssii Question For You Guys....

Yup always something to learn in this game for sure. Had us stumped for a bit but it's all good now.
  5. Ssii Question For You Guys....

Finally got it figured out with lots of help from Gary. The new SSII boards have a new and improved optocoupler on them that for some reason isn't compatible with the HP337 camera. Gary said that was the only thing he could think of on the SSII that had changed so I took an older board out of a P32 build, swapped out the chips and put the older board in the new HP337 build. It works great!! I then stuck the new board in the P32 build and it works great too. Thanks for all the advice and help guys. Gary went out of his way and sent up a new board and a different chip to try as well. Gotta love the homebrew family!!
  6. Ssii Question For You Guys....

Ok. I'll try that Ralph. Thanks!
  7. Ssii Question For You Guys....

No it has to be turned off manually too.
  8. Ssii Question For You Guys....

Just checked every solder point on it, twice....and don't see anything not soldered Ralph. Could it be a faulty opto? How would I know if it's the culprit?
  9. Ssii Question For You Guys....

Tried it and I get the same reading on all 4 pins so it isn't that. Had me hoping it was something simple like that. LOL!!
  10. I have an HP 337 with an SSII in a build that is giving me some grief. It won't turn the camera on. If you turn the camera on manually the board triggers away perfectly but it will not turn the camera on by itself. I thought maybe it was the hack so I redid it twice and the hack is good. I have an older HP337 build with an SSII that I did 3 yrs ago so I pulled it out of the bush and swapped the boards and cameras around. The new camera works with the older board but the older camera will not turn on with the new board. Gary sent me a new chip to try in the board but it didn't help any. Anyone have an idea what may be the problem?? It's got me.....
  11. Beavers

Here is the ones we used. The end of the tube has a bunch of 1.5 inch holes in it , about 30-40 holes. The Hoops around the end hold page wire out about a foot from the tube. Works pretty good.
  12. Beavers

They are called beaver deceivers. They do work pretty good. You don't get rid of all the water but it lowers it to whatever you are acceptable with. We installed a few and the beavers could never figure out how to stop them. Google Beaver Deceiver to see them.
  13. Picked Up A New Case Today

There are several different dealers so your best bet is to do a search for the EPC022 case and see who has the best $$$
  14. Found a couple of these at a local surplus store and thought I'd try them in a build. These things are way more solid than a plano or pelican case. It has an inside dimension of 8x6x3 and the outside is 9x7x4. Double latches and a rubber seal in it. I did some digging and found a website that has them listed. They may be worth a look in the future. I'll stick a build in one and let you guys know what I think. They are a really well built case by the look and feel of them. http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Low-...4838.0.0.cElpDE
