18650 Flashlights

Recommended Posts

I decided to try a Lithium 18650 flashlight since I have so many 18650 cells pulled from Laptop battery packs.

I bought this one:

This is a single cell flashlight with a protection circuit built in to prevent over discharge, etc. I can use unprotected 18650 batteries in it safely. Using Unprotected 18650 cells in flashlights that use multiple batteries can be dangerous!!

I've bought several things from FastTech and have had no problems. It takes a while to get the orders but they have always arrived as promised.

I can see where this could be another Hobby I could get into so I am resisting it as much as I can. I would of never known flashlights would have such a following. The flashlights can be built from scratch using many different kinds of drivers, hosts (casings), and LED emitters.
