Hydro Dipping Cases

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd just add this topic since a member (buckhuntertrailcam) asked me about it. So I figured since I was going to dip a case today I would just photo my way thru.

1 - case is drilled and primed. This one I thought I'd use a flat black primer base because the film seemed pretty light with a tan base on my last one.

5 - After dip.... bad news, the flat black pretty much killed the camo. Soooo, had to scuff and start over..

10 - And all 4 together. the 2 on the left have one pattern and the 2 on the right have one pattern, two different patterns of camo but made to look like 4 different by changing base coats.... 2 have light base coat (tan) and 2 have a darker base coat (gray & tan)

Thanks guys..

Just did a driveway alert transmitter real quick before getting ready for church. My lady wanted to see how to do it so I did this in about 10 minutes this morning. Already had it primed and prepped and ready.. Turned out pretty good too..

Taping the edges of the film is something I have never heard of. I guess I always have been lucky with not smearing the pattern.
