High Quality S600 and P41 Units for sale - ALL SOLD

Recommended Posts

The last of my homebrews....

A few years back I sold a bunch of homebrews, but kept these 10 back. I thought I'd use them, however I rarely did (The black flash bug bit HARD). In fact, after I lost my house and most of my possessions in a house fire in July 2016, I assumed that they were gone. It was just recently that I discovered this box of cams tucked away on a shelf in my garage...

All of my other homebrewing equipment (tools, parts, batteries, supplies, ect...) were destroyed in the fire, and I don't see myself replacing the majority of it. I was phasing myself out of the homebrews as it was...

That said, I don't have the tools or parts required to work on these cams should they need attention in the future. So, I've decided to sell them.

What follows is a list of everything that was in the box when I pulled it from my garage:

3 Sony S-600 complete units.

  • S600 cameras (Hacked by FiremanJim) wired for externals with a 5 wire servo. Shutter lens modification done as well.
  • Plano 1425 cases with HPWA lens. All dipped in Ultimate Camo
  • SS2 control board with 3.6V onboard battery. Batteries are dated 2015. Would recommend replacement...
  • Stainless Steel pipe thru design for security with python lock (not included)
  • 2 "D cell" battery holders for external power.
  • Metal 40 gram rechargeable desiccant pack for moisture control

7 Sony P-41 complete units.

  • P41 cameras (Hacked by myself) wired for externals with a 5 wire servo. Shutter lens disabled. Wires routed out the tripod hole. No holes drilled in the camera cases.

These 10 cameras were all built together as one group. They are identical to one another. They are exceptionally clean and well made units.

In the box there was also 1 Unhacked Sony P-41 Camera, as well as a bunch of Memory Sticks...

From left to right and top to bottom in the picture (below) the memory sticks are as follows:

  • 4 Sandisk 256MB MS Pro (3 orange and 1 blue)
  • 1 Sony 256MB MS Pro (black)
  • 3 Sony 1GB MS Pro (black)
  • 2 Sandisk 1GB MS Pro (blue)
  • 3 Sony 512MB MS Pro (black)
  • 10 Sandisk Ultra II 512MB MS Pro
  • 8 Memory Stick Pro Duo Adapters
  • 4 Sony 2GB MS Pro Duo (black)
  • 1 Sony 1GB MS Pro Duo (black)
  • 10 Sandisk 2GB MS Pro Duo (blue)

All of the cameras in these units power up. They all take pictures with the flash and record them to the memory stick. The control boards all powered up, and went through the walktest phase. They all sensed motion (LED indicated) when I waved my hand in front of them. After a minute or so I waved my hand again and every unit woke up the camera and fired a picture, just as they are supposed to. The cameras stayed on (trail mode) for about a minute then powered down. That is all the testing that I did with them. I did notice that a few of the red LED's on the control boards seemed weaker than others, which to me indicates a failing battery. The batteries were all replaced in early 2015. Some of these units were used in the fall of 2015 and others were not. In any case I'd recommend new batteries for all of them...

While the limited testing I did shows that all units are working, I must sell these AS IS. I simply do not have the tools needed to fix them should something be wrong. Once the control board batteries are replaced, I strongly believe that all these units will work flawlessly, however I cannot guarantee anything. Please be aware of this when you buy them. For what I'm asking, I believe this is fair.

$600 will get everything shipped TYD in the states. If you're in Canada we can discuss options...

It seems that I can only add 1 photo per post. This photo shows the front of all 10 units. The S-600's are on top...

I'd like to give preference to someone that might be wanting to take the whole lot. I realize that might be a bit unrealistic, but I'm not in a rush to get rid of them. If I can't get what I'm asking for out of them, I'll probably donate them to some neighborhood youths to play with...

On the other hand, if someone wants to make me an offer on 2 or more individual cameras, I'm all ears...
