For all you veterans out there. I have 2-P41's, 2-P32', 2-S40's. What would you recommend for memory sticks for optimum performance. I use the 41's & 32's for trails and the S40's on my 2 food plots. Typically on the trails I use either the 30 second double pic modes or the 10 second single pic mode. Obviously I would like the most bang for my buck as far as number of pics. I have cards from 64 to 256 currently and various boards on the setups.

The P32 works faster with the "Pro" sticks I think, I would use them for those. Setting to standard quality will get more on a card too, and you can reduce the resolution if you don't need them pictures all that big.

I little help here guys and gals. I need to invest in some more cards and would like some veteran assistance as far as what you would recommend for each of the 3 cameras listed P32, P41, S40. MSPro, MSPro Duo Adapter, etc. etc. I had never paid much attention to this before. But since joining this site I am gonna get more serious. I am also in the process of doing my 1st build. The P32 I am heading out to go get right now I know has a 512 in it which I now know has probably been costing me some pictures.

Thanks for your input I appreciate it!

Pat

Other then what 212 has said and you in your second reply another thing you might think about before buying memory sticks will you in the future be building any S600 trail cams.
If so you might buy the MS Pro Duo with adapter.
This way you will have memory for all your cams rather then just for a S600 or P32,P41 and S40.

I don't have a P32 or P41 so I don't know the maximums (if any), but I'm using 1GB Pro Duos in my S40s, which IIRC, hold over 900 pictures at 1 megapixel. The batteries should be dead right around half that at 400-450. If I run it up to full quality the batts may last longer than the memory.

The most important factor for me is what picture quality you're trying to get, IOW, your MP setting. I would always want the batteries to die before I ran out of memory, but if your camera's on a seldom used trail, you may be able to accomplish that with a smaller card.

I'm also buying Pro Duos for more versatility, as the full-size memory sticks won't work in the newer cams...like the s600 for example. You may decide to use some newer Sony cams one day and it would be nice not to have to buy more cards.

We really need to know how many pictures you average a day and how often you check your cameras. Personally I use 256,512, and 1 gig cards. Most of my cameras are about 130 miles away and only get checked every 4-5 weeks so I use the larger sticks there. My close cameras get the 256's. Check Genhob's newest deal for the 512 cards, you can't beat the price.
