3-d Target Repair

Recommended Posts

My old 3d target had the vital section eaten out by ants, about 75% was gone and only an small sliver of the front and a chunk of the middle remained. I looked for some type of patch for it and that was pretty expensive then I found a idea I had to try. I took the parts and reinserted them into the body and wrapped the outside with stretch wrap, the kind used for shipping large packages. I then got a can of great stuff expanding foam (about 6$). I put a few small holes in the plastic wrap to insert the straw from the foam and filled up the cavity of the target. I had also read that you could stuff plastic shopping bags in the target to help take up space and I guess they stop arrows quite well. I didn't use the bags though. I let the target dry for two days and they we gave it a test run, seems to have worked quite well.

Great idea. You must of had the spinner spinning when you thought of that?
